Q: 07 Bmw 335i coupe or 05-08 Audi TT coupe? Want to drive it for 10 yrs w/as few problems as possible?
It's my graduation in may from both JuCo and HS and I have the choice between these two cars. I want to drive it through law school (2018) with as few problems as possible. My friend has a TT and I absolutely LOVE it but I don't know about Audi reliability. I am also partial to BMWs b/c of the driving experience and reliability thanks to my Dad. The only thing with Beamers is just that I don't want anyone to think I'm a snob because I drive one. Which one should I go with?
A: If my dad was buying me either of those cars for my HS graduation I wouldn't care what anybody thought! Either way I dont see either as being snobbier than the other. In terms of the cars the 335 has a back seat, better engine (2 engine of the year awards), better handling, better reliability, and it doesn't look like an upside down bath tub like the TT. Better value overall if its one or the other. Plus if you're still worried about looking snobby, debadge the car, get some cheap(ish) mods (search burger tuning or split second turbo tuner on google for some great undetectable tuning chips that you can easily uninstall before each maintenance and not void your warranty. They add plenty of horsepower and torque your car will be a rocket, starting at a meager 99 bucks) and you'll look much more like a driving enthusiast than a snob. The N54 turbo engine on the BMW is much easier to juice up for cheap :-)

I will be graduating from both Junior College and High School this May with my AA and high school diploma, and so as a reward I get to choose between this two cars. My friend has a TT and it's really cute and she loves driving it, but I don't know about Volkswagen reliability. I am personally a big BMW fan b/c my dad and I both love the driving experience and reliability but I don't want to be thought of as a snob if I get one. I'm going to drive this car for like 10 yrs as part of the agreement, so I don't want a problem car but I would like something fun and sporty. Which car would anyone recommend?
A: you are right about the vw reliability, there are alot of electrical problems with vw/audi and it will annoy you alot. I would definitely get the BMW 335i because it is amazing and you won't really be a snob. Plus it is more practical in law school rather than a chick car of an audi tt

A: Aston Martin is by far the best of those. It also costs more than the other 2 combined.
The Audi is an overpriced VW with a fancy body. It couldn't compete with either of the others. Its probably the best value because its so much cheaper than the others.

A: I don't see anything girly about the new TT.

A: I would go for the TT for a couple reasons:
1. Safety
Audi is famous for its quattro all wheel drive and is hands down the safest among luxury sedans. (The 2007 5 star ratings by the government for Audi's A4 proved that)
2. Style/Luxury
Once you step inside an Audi, you'll notice the style and luxury is definitley on a higher level than its german competitors. There is no plastic or wood feel you'll see in Mercs or Bimmers. If you want style just take a look at the R8, Audi is known as the most stylish among the other German manufacturers.
3. Uniqueness
There just aren't that many Audis on the road, so your car will definitley be a head turner.
4. Performance
Audi has the most credible racing heritage out of the other German manufacturers. And depending on the merc coupe, Audi has great performance albeit not the best but still great :)
In short, I'd go with the Audi TT because its a perfect balance between performance, style and luxury. And even though alot of girls go for TT, who cares? All that shows to the ladies is that you've got great taste.
Finally, Audi cars are just fun to drive. I've driven Mercs and Bimmers before and they both pale in comparison to the fun I've had in my Audi. In short get the Audi TT or the A4.

A: The Audi is the nicer car, though it will cost you more and requires more time in the shop due to the low quality of Audi cars. If you are looking at new models I wouldn't buy either, I would only lease an Audi due to their poor reliability. I wouldn't buy a new Hyundai Tiburon because it is being replaced by a new model in a year and this years model is the same as the last couple years. So, I'd buy a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon V6 and have a nice trouble free, fun to drive coupe for many years.

They're all in the same price range. What would you pick and why? All good sense in my head is telling me to go with the Scion for fuel efficiency, reliability, low maintenance costs & insurance etc. but I'm not entirely sure I can follow that good sense...... It's a decent looking car (kinna reminds me of the Lexus IS250 appearance-wise) but I've been in love with the G35 from the first moment I saw it, love the idea of a sporty car with 4 doors on the Mazda along with a silky smooth ride, and impressed by the fuel efficiency of the Audi TT.... really, I'm not sure why else the TT is on there but it's the only one I haven't heard any feedback on yet.

A: The Audi will give you reliability issues. Go with the G35, you can't go wrong with that one. If you do indeed want a sporty 4-door sedan, check out a 2004 Acura TL, very nice looking, fast and reliable.

I have a TT Roadster for seven years and only drive it on nice days. There's only room for two as with the coupe.
Pro's? It's fun on a nice day. Get's lots of attention. People/chicks dig it.
Cons? Noisy. Road and traffic noise is a major downer whether the top is up or down. A couple gym bags are about all you can take for a trip. You can fit two carry bags (golf) in the back if you take the clubs out first and lay them down...but you have to carry the woods in front with your partner.
Love it anyway. Mine is red and completely stock. People always comment on how nice it looks. Even give me a thumbs up on the hwy. Have actually had women chase me down the road for a ride.

i saw an ad 4 and audi tt coupe...is this a convertable or not? im confused. also do they all have back seats. i would liek a convertable 1. cheers.
A: I had a TT convertible for two years and that had two seat only. I now own a new style TT Coupe which has four seats, but the two in the rear are very small. However, the coupe provides me with much more space, especially when the two rear seats are folded down. I enjoyed the convertible but must admit that the couple is a much better car overall.

A: they are actually pretty reliable. Every car hasa hate site but as for the switchblade key it is not old fasioned its still nicer than a mojority of keys. you cant get a smart key in a car that didn't come with it from the factory yet so your stuck with a key. ask the dealer about having one put in but its not likely they will.

A: For the money, Audi definitly! I'm a bimmer fan myself but in terms of overall I would pick the audi because it performs better and I believe it has more aftermarket options available.
Q: Audi TT vs. Chrysler Crossfire??? (coupe)?
I'm thinking of getting one of these cars (2nd hand) and wondered what the best choice would be. Being female, I have a slightly different criteria to most guys. Please help me choose based on looks, interior, comfort, room, rear view vision, ease of parking/manoeuvring... (rather than horse power, blah blah blah... as that means nothing to me). Thanks x
A: Both of these cars were "cool" once upon a time but are really looking a bit dated now but the Crossfire probably less so.
TT's are very common and the new TT makes the MK1 look old. When was the last time you saw a Crossfire? It's the individuals choice - not for somebody who adheres to badge snobery.
And its not because the Crossfire is rubbish that u dont see many - as somebody mentioned, its basically a merc underneath.
Dunno if you need it to pull blokes but I reckon most guys would be more impressed with Chrysler as it shows you have real character and obviously some taste.
Q: Audi TT 1.8 or Mercedez coupe sport C180?
A: Either are lovely cars to be seen in, but a couple of things to be aware of.
The New TT is a greatly re-engineered car, the old TT however is little more than a Golf in a party dress, and sadly it handles like it. The older model is known for dashboards falling out (literally) so check this when you look at them, and be aware that there have been several recalls for electrical glitches. It really is the lemon when you consider that golf / A3 it's based on is a superbly reliable car.
Merc's coupe also suffers from build quality issues, and again, electrical faults are at the front of it.
Even the base TT180 will run away from a merc 180 coupe, (even the kompressor model). Someone mentioned the 3.2 model. There's a huge problem with the 3.2. It's called the 225 model. There really is only a tiny performance increase by upgrading to the 3.2 model, which in turn is only marginally more than the 180. If you're needing to be a bit frugal, there's a 150bhp model too, but this only appeared in later models.
TT is the more performance orientated of the two, the merc is something of an oddball styling wise but still wouldn't grumble if I owned one.
Have you checked out the alternatives? Recomend the Alfa GT with it's bellowing 3 litre V6 or frugal diesel, and it's much more the sports coupe than the Brera.
