Q: How much will a used Audi A6 cost?
I`m just wondering how much an Audi A6 C6 cost. I`m wondering about the 3.2 24V FSI V6 255 PS (252 hp/188 kW)
A: Cheaper than a new one!
LOL!
Dude, you need to break it down some more! Color, miles, options, etc.
I say you give Yahoo Autos a try:

Q: Anyone have any idea where to find a used/refurbished 2002 Audi A6 2.7t quattro TCM?
I am in need of a TCM, new or used for an 02 A6 2.7t Q.
Any info or advice would be appreciated!
A: http://www.car-part.com
Q: which car is a better choice to buy used, 2005 or 2006 audi a6? (for reliability)?
its my first car and i'm looking to spend around $20-23k, which car has a better history with reliability?
A: 1. You know the A6 is the same from year to year, right?
2. Neither is reliable. They're Audis! Do your research before purchasing a car. www.consumerreports.com should be enlightening.
3. I owned this particular car for about half a year. It was absolutely the worst POS I've ever driven. Underpowered (even with the upgraded engine), rattles from the dash/doors/back seat/mystery locations, and serviced three times before I hit 5000 miles. I sold that thing so eagerly and got another Saab. Best decision ever.
4. Again, do your research. The only Audi worth beans is the A8 and that's out of your price range unless you're willing to go back several years.
PS - If you pay $23,000 for a 2006, you're being ripped off. After looking into this car and deciding it's for you, do not part with more than $20,000 cash out-the-door. I do hope you're paying cash for this, too. If you aren't, you simply cannot afford the car at all.
Q: audi A6 1995 automatic transmission?what are the 1,2,3 gears used for?
A: So that you can change gear!
Say you are driving down a hill, and you want to control your speed using the engine, easy in a manual just leave it in the right gear. With an auto, chances are that you put in in 'D' and just drive it, basically all you are doing is putting the car in top gear. Let's take the hill again, if you want to use engine breaking 'D' is no use as it will just change up to top gear, if you move the stick so it's by the '2' it will only change up to second, or down to first, so the engine will break in the same manner as a manual.
An Auto 'box will never change into a higher gear than you put it in.
Put it in first, it will stay in first.
Put it in second, it will change between first and second.
Put it in third, it will change between first, second and third.
Put it in 'D' and it will change between all the gears.
Q: Reliability on audi's turbos?
I'm planning on purchasing a used audi a6 2.7t 6MT with 104k miles, t-belt, w-pump, seals, clutch, and drive belts have been changed. my next concern are the turbos themselves. how reliable are they and if they fail, where can i get replacement turbochargers (other than the stealership), and at what cost?
A: the turbos are good for about 70K-90K miles on average if they are original they probably will need to be replaced soon. as for the cost to replace them im not sure i have a non turbo V6 but i recommend the AUdiworld forums they are very helpful
Q: What tires can I use for my audi a6 2.7T car?
A: I would recomend performance tires...the twin turbo A6 was meant to be a performance vehicle, and performance tires will best suite it
I drive a 2001.5 S4 (the same engine as your A6) and i LOVE the Kumho Ecsta Supra tires...they perform very well and they have a real nice tread pattern...
I have also tried the Bridgestone Potenza re-01r (very good also), and the Yokohama db-s2 (very good tire)....
Price should not be an issue because you can find good tires like these at a cheap oil service garage...
But for the Kumho's I paid around $109 per tire, which is pretty good considering their market price...
Q: i have a audi a6 quattro. There is a water leak and it looks like its coming from behind the main crank pulley?
.I pulled the metal hose piece thats used as a splitter in the front (the one that goes behind the front engine mount) thinking it might be split but it was fine.I have no idea where the water pump is to know if it might be whats leaking or if anyone has any other ideas, thanks.
A: Youll have better luck with this on a forum, try audizine.com
Q: 2000 Audi A6 with Dead Pixels In Dash. How Do I Fix/Replace?
Is there anyway to repair the dead pixels on a 2000 Audi A6. The pixels on the dash are really bad and I can't use the navigation feature at all because of this.
How do I repair it? What parts do I need to replace?
A: You would have to replace the screen. I believe they had a recall on this for the A4. You may want to call the nearest dealer and see if its for the A6 too.
Q: I have a 2000 Audi A6 and it has a crack in the washer reservoir.?
I found some used ones that are pretty cheap around $55 buck but how hard it is to replace. From looking at it, it looks like it might be fairly complicated from where it is positioned. but could a novice replace it or do you need any special tools that would make it more difficult?
A: $55!! Did you try the junkyard?? It shouldn't be too hard to replace though. I have a '99 a4 and mine can be accessed from under bumper on the driver side, but it is easier to remove the front bumper (just 2 bolts for me, you should be the same) Best way to determine how is to grab a chilton or haynes service manual from autozone or whatever is in your town. (although these books arent the best, they help- for about $20) Best of luck.
Q: Audi A6 Oil Usage?
How much does a new Audi A6 Estate Diesel Injection use in oil ruffly?
Thanks
A: You previously mentioned .5 litre in 600 miles - that's possible with a new engine before it's settled down. You could always ask an Audi dealer what they consider acceptable.
PS Just checked, apparently Audi say .5litre / 1000km (about 620 miles) is "normal"
Q: multi function switch Audi A6 '95 ?
Where do i find a new/used multi function switch for an Audi A6 quattro ?
A: I have found good luck with shoakan.com. They are a used parts outlet for everything Audi.
Q: I have a Audi A6 2.7 T quattro and I want to know what kind of oil to use..does any one know?
A: It would say in your owners book in the maintanence section
(nice car)
Q: Cadillac DTS Audi A6 or BMW 325xi?
I am going to be 16 and able to drive soon, and because of that my dad is buying a third vehicle. the price limit is $25,000, so i figured a used luxury/sports sedan would be the coolest in that range. With that said, out of an '06 Cadillac DTS, '06 Audi A6, or '06 BMW 325xi, which would be preferable or the "coolest" and why? Note, they are all almost identical in price.
A: If you can't afford anything better, the 325xi is good enough. It has the AWD and reliability ratings that beat the Audi and Cadillac you mention.
While the BMW is your best bet, it's not very impressive. The A6 is very good looking but Audi hasn't impressed anyone with their reliability or crash test ratings in over 20 years. The Cadillac is just a GM vehicle and I'd avoid anything that's built in a GM facility.
Q: can I tow an Audi A6 Quatro with tiptronic?
car will not start, I need to travel 125 miles, will towing using an 'A' frame damage the car?
A: Your best bet is on a roll-back or put the whole car under dollies so that all four tires are off the ground.
Q: Audi a6 2.7T, turbo spools too early, barley any response from engine?
well ive asked this before, but ill put a little more detail. well i have an audi a6 2.7T. and the turbo starts to spool at 2900 rpm, and when i try to accelerate fast, all i hear is the turbo spool, but the car doesnt pick up any speed, well it does but not as fast as it used to, and the turbo is wayyyyy louder than its supposed to be it kind of sounds nice, and i have to let go the gas, bc i dont know what could happen if i keep pressing on the gas.
A: I agree with ben d, a leak after the turbo output would cause a reduction in backpressure which would in turn cause reduced resistance to the spool. The turbo would spin faster but the extra air created would not make its way to the air intake of your motor. FYI, continuing to give the motor gas when this happens would likely cause a severe failure to the turbo (blown bearings etc.) I reccommend you take the car into your mechanic to identify where the leak is occurring.
