Q: 2009 Audi A5 and already a new engine?!?
Just bought this car and with less than 3,000 miles on the car there was a knock in the engine. Something was "loose" so they replaced the entire engine...
My question is besides the lemon law is there anything else I can do to change cars?
Bought from Audi Dealer...Brand new of course.
My question is...Is there a law that I can get my 52,thousand something back since the engine is knocking and its brand new...now had a whole new engine put in outside of the factory which might cause for problems for me to deal with in the future...Would you want it to happen to you.
A: why would you want to change the car when they have repaired it for you?
cars can go wrong you know. you cant just demand a new car if something goes wrong.
Q: how much is the 2009 a5 coupe?
I am very interested in buying a car and I have been looking for one that I really like . I have decided 2 go for the 2009 a5 (audi) coupe . I am looking for someone who has great knowledge on the price of the car , invoice , downpayment , note , insurance, and all of that . I've did my online research and even been to the dealers, but the bounce around with there prices . I need a firm sturdy price of the car and then I'll decide if I can get a good deal at one of the lots I've been to . And if it helps do not add any features to the car only the ones that come autimatically . I would like to know how muxh extra it would be to add a startup button to the keys. I am from ny so please no out of state irrelavent information. Thanx !!!
A: I purchased an 08 Audi A5 in August from a dealership in NJ. I reside in upstate NY. Typically for these cars the sticker price (MSRP) is marked up approx 7.5% over the invoice price. If you divide the sticker price by 1.075 you will come up with the price the dealer paid for the vehicle. The base sticker price for an automatic (which I bought) is 42000 with absolutely no options. I will tell you that $42000 car does not exist. Expect to see sticker prices of $43500 up to $53000. The sticker on my car was a little over 45000. I was told by more than one Audi dealer not expect too much price negotiation because this model is so new and is in high demand. I did get a little knocked off of the sticker because it was a lot demo and had 900 miles on it. As far as financing, I chose to go with my personal bank, they had the best rate I could find (4.5%) and this model is excluded from any Audi special financing. Most banks will loan you the entire amount of the vehicle including tax, title and fees, so you really do not need a down payment. That is up to you unless you finance through the dealer and they may have other requirement. A good rule of thumb for a down payment is 10% but most places will accept anything you are prepared to give them. My insurance in the state of NY is approximately $850/yr. I'm a 33/M with a clean driving record so my insurance is very reasonable.
As for the remote starter, it is not an available option from Audi and with the smartkey starter that this model has, I doubt there is an aftermarket one that would work without voiding some of the warranty.
Hope this information helps
Q: Does anyone know what or why?
I have a brand new 2009 Audi A5 Sline...Manual...when you compress the clutch to shift it feels like it drops and actually vibrates a little through the car. Also when you put your foot on the gas and take it off it tends to choke a little...Any clue to what it could be so I can tell the dealer???
Usually when you are driving a manual you compress clutch, shift, and let off. This should all happen really smoothly. This is not the case with this car...You compress clutch...dunk...shift (sticky gears) then release...clug clug clug. Not that the engine is falling out as Im driving but it isnt driving how any other manual i've ever owned should.
A: Take the service manager for a ride and show him the problem. Don't let 'em tell you it is normal or it will go away after you drive it a while. You want it fixed.
